Course Description
This virtual class on Zoom will offer you the opportunity to create a letter explaining your beliefs, life lessons, and hopes for the future. Simply put, a Legacy Letter is how you want to be remembered.
You will decide who you want to direct your writings to: your children, grandchildren, family, spouse, partner, and/or friends.
Perhaps you have thought about writing a letter such as this, but you just didn't know how or where to begin. I'll offer writing prompts and examples that will make the process easier.
Writing with others is fun. You will be stimulated by what others write, and you will have the option to share your own writing. Hearing what others write will enhance your own memories, and will help you know what you want to include in your letter. Being a part of the class helps with the motivation to write.
Almost without exception, people are surprised by how much they learn about themselves in the process of writing their values and life lessons.
Truly, this may be the most cherished gift your family could possibly receive from you.
You will be expected to write between classes. A three-ring notebook is recommended.

Ethical Wills: Putting Your Values on Paper, by Barry Baines
The Wealth of Your Life: A Step-by-Step Guide for Creating Your Ethical Will, by Susan Turnbull
