Aging: Reflections On the Journey of Life

This eight-week course will help us make sense of our journey through life.
We will read fiction, poetry, memoir, essays, children’s stories, reflections by philosophers, historians, and psychologists, African and Japanese legends, and excerpts from the Koran and the Bible. The excerpts will shed light on the many aspects of later life, including:

Readings will illuminate our pleasures and pains, our dreams and triumphs as we strive to live out our days in a meaningful way.
Class members will receive a weekly email of readings. These readings are expected to be done prior to class time.
Multicultural and multigenerational, the collection of stories will offer inspiration, insight, humor, and wisdom for us to use as a springboard for sharing our personal experiences when we gather together.
The class is for women of a certain age.
The dialogue will be rich and deep as we use literature to explore our aging lives.
